Preview : The Social Festival, 29th & 30th September 2017
We're taking a glimpse into The Social and the guaranteed spectacle that is set
for this year's edition of Kent's boutique music festival. As the County in the South East of England
continues to grow as a hot spot for House and Techno events The Social will
return to its usual location; Kent County Showground.
All roads will lead to The Garden of England as the summer comes to a close and the festival plans to end the season on a massive high. The Social is already known for curating a diverse range of superstar underground DJs and the year marking their fifth anniversary is no exception.
So far in the announcements we've
seen regular big names like Carl Cox, Nic Fanciulli, and local star Rob
Cockerton but also some new faces have been added to the bill.
The Bronx's Finest Duo; The
Martinez brothers make the trip across the pond for their debut after playing
The Social in Mexico earlier this year. They're joined by the prolific French
Trio Apollonia as well as Sidney Charles & Sante who've been making waves
in the Tech House scene this past year going B2B with their high tempo
sets.
There's also returns from
favourites like the Techno goddess Nina Kraviz, Resident Advisor's No 2 in the world;
Jackmaster and another B2B set from the legends Sasha & John Digweed. This time round they've also
introduced some exciting stage hosts with names including DJ Mag, Fabric and
Resistance. This we're sure will bring even more depth to the two day
event which we are very excited to see.
The introduction of new stages
can only mean that the production and sound is going to bring even more flavour
with them. Last year we saw an army of lasers, strobes and Co2 Cannons all of
which set the scene for the proceedings. This year we're expecting bigger
and better. We can't wait to see what else is in store.
Keep an eye on our Facebook and
Instagram as we unravel more of the exciting announcements and get up close and
personal with some of the artists on the line up.
