Preview : 33 2nd Birthday, London Boat Party 11.08.18

33 turn two on The Thames

London's fast rising brand 33 celebrates it's second birthday next month, following two years of making their mark on the capital. The past 24 months have seen sell out shows, internationally respected headliners and an ever-growing fan base join 33 at some of London's leading underground venues.

On the 11th August the brand will set sail on the Thames with their resident DJs, re-living the inaugural show which featured on London's party boat, back in August 2016. The intimate capacity boat will be filled with both old and new faces who've joined 33's journey in the scene so far, creating an atmosphere which will no doubt be fit for the celebration.

Ahead of the big day, we're shining the spotlight on the resident DJs who have been part of 33's story thus far, and how they've help mould the party into what it is today.

Azaad

Beginning his journey into the scene within his born & bred home, North London DJ Azaad has had a quick-fire start into the industry. With stints at We Are FSTVL and Egg Ldn already under his belt, the bouncy, tribal house selector has rapidly become a firm figure in 33's team. Our first experience of Azaad at Central London's industrial playground; The Steelyard gave a glimpse into the artist's strong track selection, orchestrating an intelligent and carefully thought-out performance - which he's become widely known for.

Karter

No stranger to the game is Kieran McCarthy, aka Karter. Inheriting a love for the scene through his parent's extensive vinyl collection, the DJ/Producer has progressed to release tracks on labels such as Nurvous Records and Defined music. His work has since received support from some the industry's most respected artists, including Marco Carola and Joseph Capriati. Polished performances at Studio 338, Motion Bristol, Ministry of Sound and Digital Brighton have led to a growing fan base for the London artist, who've followed his ongoing journey with 33 as the brand continues to expand.

Late Replies

This dynamic duo have quickly become a fan favourite at 33. Engineering their sets with energy and charisma, connecting with their crowd and bouncing off each other effortlessly. Kastro David & Josh Lewis have slingshotted into the scene with their groove-filled sets, taking inspiration from their previous musical roots; hip-hop and grime has added a unique twist to their track selections. The pair have hit the ground running at 33, with no signs of slowing down.

NinetyOne

The fourth and final 33 residents NinetyOne have had a catalogue of appearances behind the decks. Supporting industry figureheads from the likes of Disciples, Amine Edge & DANCE and Simone Liberali, have carved Kwame & Martin into an infectious duo, becoming highly regarded at the 33 camp. The double act have crafted their addictive performances across London's top tier venues including Electric Brixton and Studio 338. There's no doubt they'll have the tools needed to blow the roof off the party boat!

Add these four residents to the iconic London skyline settings along the River Thames, and you've got yourself a party.
