Preview : Arcadia 10th Anniversary Festival London, 5-6th May 2018
Not many events can bring you a 50 Tonne spider made out of military machinery and recycled industrial components. Actually, none can, aside from Arcadia's game changing creation, which has since featured at some of the world's biggest festivals, leaving viewers stunned at the unique display - there really is nothing quite like it.
The brainchild of Pip Rush & Bert Cole back in 2007, Arcadia has grown from it's inaugural form launched at Glastonbury Festival named The Afterburner, into the high octane, fire breathing spectacle known today. On it's 10th anniversary, Arcadia will make their hugely anticipated debut in the capital, bringing with them even more mind-blowing effects and an exclusive new indoor experience; The Reactor.
The Arcadia workforce has been working tirelessly to develop this new 360 degree, fully immersive indoor stage. Designed to transport viewers into a different reality from the moment they enter, with every last detail contributing to the one of a kind experience.
Along with the new stage, the fan favourite spider will of course be in full swing, armed with jets able to shoot fire 50 feet into the air, monstrous Co2 cannons, world class lighting rigs and the famous Metamorphosis show; utilising the spider's structure to create a stunning aerial performance.
To mark the occasion Arcadia will be bringing a star-studded line up to London, with Leftfield, Sven Vath, Dusky, Groove Armada, Eats Everything and a whole load more including a day for the drum & bass heads on Sunday 6th, orchestrating a journey of sound to accompany the display.
